Young enterpreneur, Omowunmi Taiwo Lawal is a fast rising hairstylist who believes that, a woman’s hairstyle has a lot to do with her personality.
“Women must look good at all times, and one of the major things that enhances the beauty of a woman is her hairstyle. You can define a woman by her hairstyle because it must look neat, attractive and classy, in order to command respect, especially when you are not wearing hats,” she says.
The beautiful lady who is the brain behind Wunmi’s Touch, specialises in braids, dreadlocks, butterfly locks and other signature hairstyles that places a premium on her craft.
“It all started like a dream over five years ago. It was actually my dad that encouraged me to learn how to fix hair. I must also say that, my mom’s influence also played a big role because, she used to run a salon when I was much younger, but she later packed up for personal reasons. I think that was where I developed the interest”.
With a handful of clients ranging from society ladies to entertainment personalities, Lawal admits that, style is dynamic and thus, requires a lot of creativity and continous training.
“You have to be good with your craft because, it is not everyone that goes to salons. Some clients prefer home service delivery, which demands on hand professional skills, which I believe is what makes us unique at Wunmi’s Touch.
The lady who is rounding up a diploma course in Mass Communication from the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo – Lagos, says her dream is to be a leading light in the beauty industry, and win international awards as a renowned hairstylist.
