The internet facility provided by the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Mallam Saliu Mustapha for the use of members of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has been installed and activated.
The installation of the facility, which commenced last week was completed with its activation on Wednesday, thus paving way for members of the union to be connected to wireless internet service seamlessly.
The facility is subscribed for a year, courtesy of the legislator.
Mustapha, who heads Senate Committee on Agricultural Production and Rural Services said the installation of the internet facilities at NUJ Press Centre would assist journalists in filing their stories in earnest and with ease.
The Senator noted that the kind gesture was aimed at ensuring that practitioners in the media industry ply their trade in an enabling environment and minimize their expenses on internet subscription while promising to always be of assistance to the Council whenever the need arises.
