Organizers of Genesis Fashion Show 2019 in a group photographThe fifth edition of Genesis Fashion Show, the annual fashion event by the teens’ ministry of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, has been slated for on Monday, December 16, 2019.
This year’s event, billed to take place at The Incubator on Abiodun Yesufu Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, according to the organizers, is specifically organized to address indecent dressing among teenagers in the society while showcasing trendy designs from some prominent designers in the country that are decent yet classy.
The organizers, including participating teenagers, who took out time to speak at a press parley announcing the programmes, reiterated the purpose of the fashion show, which is build the youth for the future via decent dreesing.
“The goal of Genesis Fashion Show from the inception, remains, and this is to let people, especially the youth, be mindful of their dressing mode because you don’t need to expose your body before people know who you are,” said one of the teenagers present at the parley.
Omotosho, a top member of the organizing committee, said that the show will continue to promote beauty through decency “in a world where half dressing has become the norm. “We are not just to deliver the message in a stronger and more defined way this year, solidifying our stand as campaigners for decent dressing, we are also making the platform one for the next generation to thrive by learning, growing and developing their creative skills,” declared Omotosho.
Tickets for the show tagged ‘Dominate’ are available on Instagram at @genesisfashionshow, and we gathered, it will feature exquisite designs from renowned fashion designers and as usual will also create an avenue for promising young entrepreneurs who have flair for fashion, modeling, photography, media, videography, graphic designs, among other related vocations.
