Ailing Nollywood actor, Martins Njubuigbo who is popular as Elder Maya in movies, has got a reprieve following the intervention of an Abuja based cleric, Bro. Joshua Iginla, who reportedly gave him the sum of one million naira to treat himself.
What the veteran actor asked the public, we gathered, was just N800, 000 to cure his diagnosed liver ailment but without luck until Iginla intervened.
Arguably the longest surviving Nigerian actor, Elder Maya, was reportedly struck by a liver-related problem, with a swollen leg and stomach which causes him so much pain.
But on Sunday May 22, 2016 during the birthday ceremony of Bro. Iginla, a fellow actor, Bruno Iwuoha who also narrowly survived same fate a few months ago, allegedly brought the man of God’s attention to Elder Maya’s condition, and Iginla promptly agreed to help.
He thereafter sent a cheque of one million naira for the actor with a promise to further help when he survives the treatment, said our source.
