The #EndSARS protest in Nigeria was one so strange to the Nigerian government. Nigerian youths protested against the deadly police unit called SARS.

The protests, starting on October 20, 2020, spread across the nation and lasted for several days, into weeks, and finally, the federal government succumbed to pressure and scrapped the group.

They later changed the name to SWAT.

However, the youths changed gear by protesting what they called ‘bad governance by elected personalities. However, the government would have none of that and will later send armed soldiers to disperse them.

This happened after the protests were hijacked by hoodlums who began killing innocent persons including security agents and looting homes and shops.

Armed soldiers later came in and there were claims of shooting which the soldiers and the government denied ever happened.

While the fracas was on, DJ Switch turned to InstaLive, beaming what she claimed were live happenings at the Lekki Toll Gate, venue of the Lagos chapter of the protests. She later went underground as she alleged that the government was after her life for the live broadcast of the event.

Meanwhile, two days to the first anniversary of the protests, DJ Switch is back. Inside sources said she is returning to partake in the memorial rally slated for Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Lekki Toll Gate venue.

She is also said to be ready to share her story to the international community.
