Nigeria’s youth-based celebrity magazine, Young Achievers Nigeria (youngachieversnigeria.com), has honoured one of Nigeria’s leading insurance brokers, Mr. Lekan Ajisafe.
The MD/CEO of Post Assurance Brokers Ltd. received the magazine’s ‘Man of The Year’ award at his Ikoyi, Lagos office in a brief ceremony with staff and well wishes in attendance.
Ajisafe, an entrepreneur par excellence, who received the honour on his birthday, is an alumni of the University of Lagos and seasoned insurance broker with specialty in oil and gas, aviation and general risk insurance.
Before setting up his Post Assurance Brokers, Ajisafe had worked with many insurance companies where he made impacts.
While appreciating the award, Ajisafe said; “I give all the glory to God. If I look back, from my humble beginning, you would not believe that I was once a bus conductor in Lagos. But despite this challenge, I never gave up. I told myself that I would give all it takes by working hard to excel.”
The entrepreneur advised young Nigerians to believe in their dreams, work towards it and be steadfast.
The Ekiti born business man, who is also a philanthropist as part of his corporate social responsibilities, has built and donated basket ball courts for his alma mater, the University of Lagos.
The annual solo event, Young Achievers Nigeria Awards, is an initiative of the management of Young Achievers Nigeria Magazine to celebrate and honour outstanding Nigerians who have broken the ceilings of limitations to excel in their respective field of endeavours.
