Yinka Ayefele Lands In Hospital After Beating By Civil Defence Officer

Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi has condemned an alleged assault of gospel singer and businessman, Yinka Ayefele by one of its operatives.

The assault happened in Ekiti State while the singer was leaving the venue of a show where he sang in Iloro-Ekiti, Ijero Ekiti Local Government. He was embarrassed by the NSCDC operative.

Following the assault which reportedly left blood gushing from his nostrils, the popular singer was said to have been taken to a private hospital in Ado-Ekiti where he was treated and discharged a few hours after.

The NSCDC officer allegedly tried to collect money from the singer who is also physically challenged. Still, Ayefele resisted the move by the officer but got punched in the mouth for stopping the officer. The officer who allegedly assaulted Ayefele has not been identified.

Abubakar Audi has ordered a full investigation of what transpired. He also wants the officer punished if found guilty.
