Wizkid’s fans have taken to social media to jubilate and celebrate after his single “Essence” with Tems achieved a new feat.
Their single “Essence” was certified platinum in the United Kingdom after it sold 1 million copies in the UK.
These awards, given by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) represent huge sales – 500,000 units for gold, 1 million for platinum, 2 million or more for multiplatinum, and 10 million for diamond. Singles have the same criteria with sales and streaming (100 streams amount to one digital download).
Reacting to the news, while some of his fans celebrated, others opined that Tems made it happen and some others dragged Burna Boy.
