The 17th edition of The Headies Awards will be held in Nigeria, the organizers have announced.
The previous Headies Award event, the 2022 and 2023 editions, were held in the United States.
However, the organizers made a ‘come back’ announcement on Wednesday, declaring through a post on their Instagram page that they are bringing the show “back home.”

“Over the past few years, Afrobeats—as music and as a movement—has exploded beyond our shores and beyond our dreams. Our songs have recorded billions of streams and sat comfortably on some of the world’s biggest charts,” the statement re
