The President of Vanguard Network For All Progressives Congress (APC), Princess Omolola Priscilla, has commended the Supreme Court for affirming Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of Nigeria in the February 2023 presidential poll.

In a statement she personally signed on Thursday, October 26, 2023 and sent out to the media, Omolola congratulated President Tinubu describing his victory as a “victory for democracy and an affirmation that the people of Nigeria truly voted massively for him to lead them as their President.”

The apex court, had earlier today, October 26, 2023 dismissed the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart Peter Obi’s appeals challenging President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.

Reacting further, Omolola said, “The judiciary has demonstrated that it is the last hope of the common man.”

She then said, “Now that the distractions of court cases promoted by people who clearly lost have been laid to rest, the President can now have the needed time to speed up on the duty given to him by the Nigerian people.

“I commend the President who never allowed the baseless litigations to distract him from performing his legitimate duties as president and I encourage him to put in more efforts to make Nigeria better than he met it as contained in his renewed hope template.

“I also commend the Justices of the Supreme Court who gave a good and transparent judgement which is in confirmation of what the good people of Nigeria expected from them having defied the inclement weather to vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their President in the last February 25, 2023 poll.

“I further urge the good people of Nigeria, both at home and in diaspora, members of the opposition to continue to support their President as he takes the country to greater heights politically and socioeconomically.” Omolola stated
