Mr Sunday Olashile, a 29-year-old resident of Kwanba in Suleja town, Niger state, endured a harrowing experience on the night of October 20th, 2023.
Olashile’s world was shattered when he received a call from a friend, Tony, who revealed the brutal invasion of suspected cultists in the neighborhood, resulting in the untimely demise of his elder brother, Sunkanmi Olashile. Sunkanmi had only recently begun residing temporarily with Sunday.
According to eyewitnesses and residents, it was reported that intense gunfire was heard, which plunged the neighborhood into a state of panic and fear. While the motives behind Sunkanmi’s tragic killing remains unclear up till this moment.
Sunday Olashile, understandably fearful, has expressed deep concerns for his own safety, apprehensive about the unidentified assailants and the looming threat they pose.
Sunday, therefore, urges swift intervention from the authorities, seeking the protection of the police in what has become a fragile and volatile situation.
