The 2021 Luncheon and Awards ceremony of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association was held in Ibadan a few days ago with distinguished and outstanding alumni of the institution receiving various awards.
Among the award recipients were Late Alhaji AGF Abdulrazaq and Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state.
There were four award categories; Life-time Achievement, Worthy Ambassador, Most Distinguished Alumnus and Alumnus of The Year 2020.
While Alhaji AGF Abdulrazaq was a foundation student in 1948 , Zulum received Master’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering from the institution in 1998.
Late Alhaji AGF AbdulRazaq who held prestigious titles of Mutawali of Ilorin and Tafida of Zazzau (Zaria) had under his belt a unique achievement-he was the first lawyer and the first Senior Advocate of Nigeria produced by the defunct Northern Region.
Late AGF Abdulrazaq also served as Chairman of the Nigerian Body of Benchers.
Among his sons are Dr Alimi Abdulrazaq, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Isiaka Abdulrazaq.
