The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan departed Abuja on Saturday morning to Maiduguri in Borno State to attend the wedding fatiha of the children of two of his fellow Senators.
Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) is giving his daughter, Fatima, hand in marriage to Sadiq Ibrahim Bunu while the wedding fatiha of Senator Maina Maaji Lawan’s children are also holding same Saturday.
The Senate President is being accompanied on the trip from Abuja by Senator Ibrahim Gobir, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Senator Sadiq Umar, Senator Bello Mandiya, Senator Uba Sani, Senator Sahabi Ya’u, Senator Barau Jibrin and Senator Danladi Sankara.
The Senate President and his entourage are due back in Abuja later on Saturday.
