A former member of House of Representatives from Osun State, Hon. Rotimi Makinde, has lent his voice to that of numerous Nigerians supporting the ambition of the APC majority leader in the lower chamber, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for the office of Speaker.
Makinde who represented Ife Federal Constituency until 2015 noted in an interview with Global Excellence that Gbajabiamila has worked effectively in the House of Representatives for many years, at a time he (Rotimi) was also privileged to be a member.
“Hon. Gbajabiamila occur to me as one of best legislators ever produced by this great country because he is blessed with almost a doubled experience of what we can call an engine room and he is a great stabilizer of our democracy. In fact, I called him Mr Teacher when I served in the green chamber with him,” said Makinde.
The Osun former lawmaker added that, with his knowledge of Gbajabiamila’s
prowess, the Lagos lawmaker would bring to bear on the exalted office of Speaker his excellent credentials and legislative know-how.
“Hon. Femi is full of energy and enough enthusiasm needed to support the fervent desires of our society. He is someone I know very well and definitely in politics by its call. So, I humbly call on his colleagues especially those privileged to be elected at this period to join hands with this noble lawmaker to pilot the country to the glorious and enviable heights we so envisaged,” Makinde submits.
