In line with one of the tenets of the Holy month of Ramadan that encourages the well-to-do to give to the needy, Nollywood fast rising actress, Bukola Iqmat Animashaun, recently donated food items to the needy in Ibadan during the breaking of fast. The items shared included enormous cooked meal, bags of sachet water, and fruits.
Speaking about the inspiration behind her actions, the actress who is a dedicated Muslim stated that, “we need to be compassionate to the needy and those around us who don’t have just like the Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed urge us to do. We shouldn’t only preach love but we must also be seen to be practicing love even daily.”
The beautiful actress added that, she was now ready to making an all-time ritual, “because I’m moved by the level of poverty that surrounds us and I’m using this opportunity to call on my other colleagues and everyone to do the little they can for the poor and the needy amongst us.”
Bukola, skilled producer, has featured in many box office hits like ‘Awon Eta Oko’, ‘Omoge Animashaun’, ‘Enu Mi’, ‘Osoju Mi Koro’, among others.
