As the young monarch took a new bride, tongues began wagging regarding the fate of his first wife, Bukunola. The first wife, who was spotted with the new king during his last December coronation, was said to have gone quiet since her successor moved in.
As we gathered, the genesis of Olori Bukunola’s alleged relegation was a certain ritual during the king’s coronation she was supposed to participate in but did not. Bukunola is still looking to God for the fruits of the womb, we gathered.
Insiders said that before the new wife, Wuraola Otiti, came into their life, things were not so rosy between Bukunola and Oba Ogunwusi, and this was attributed to the absence of a child yet. Therefore, when the king was ready to take the crown, said our source, he reportedly preferred a first lady that would give him an heir to the throne.
There was the speculation that the king and Olori Bukunola were not on speaking terms. A reliable source also said that, the embattled Olori was presently being pressured to abandon her marriage.
