MBGA 20th Anniversary Postponed over Covid-19, Continues Auditioning

One of the first indigenous pageant contests in Nigeria, Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja-MBGA, has announced a rescheduled grand finale date, which was initially slated for the 31st of October 2020.

 

In a statement released and signed by the project director, Hon. Ejiro Okpihwo,the event formerly slated for the 31st of October, 2020, will now be for auditioning only, while the grande finale and 20th anniversary ceremony of the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja has been rescheduled to hold next year.

 

 

Ejiro Okpihwo noted that the reasons for the postponement and adjustments in dates were in view of the Covid-19 guidelines and measures issued by both local and international health agencies. He, however, stated that registrations by interested contestants ahead of the 31st October auditioning, continues.

 

 

Over the years, the MBGA project director has continued to make extensive impacts, especially in areas of empowering young girls through creating platforms and opportunities for them to showcase their capacity, perspectives and values toward the improvement of the nation, especially by mentorship and encouragement of our younger generation.

 

 

From the inception and until the previous edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja, the grand finale ceremony has been quite impressive, amazing and interestingly memorable, with regards to the prestigious packaging, sponsorship and the presence of high profile personalities. The project director has crowned over 20 outstanding international beauty queens, who have so far made exceptional impacts towards salvaging the challenges faced in several sectors of concern.

 

 

The organization has continued to call on sponsors to identify with the brand ahead of the grand finale in 2020. Ejiro also disclosed that he would be handing over the management of the pageant to a new brand organiser, which will be unveiled during the next grand finale ceremony.

 

 

Over the years, MBGA has recorded and witnessed resounding performances of famous and popular musical artistes, comedians and popular celebrities, including, 2Baba, Terry G, KC Presh, Faze, Olu Maintain, Idris AbdulKareem, 2Shotz, Late OJB Jazrael, Bigiano, Kelly Hansome, Rymzo, Adaz, I Go Die, Klint Da Drunk, A.Y, Gandoki, Maleki, Weird MC, Soul E, Black Solo, MMM Gang, Omotola, Rita Dominic, Kanayo O.
