As the 2023 Kwara state gubernatorial election gathers speed , NNPP gubernatorial candidate, Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem , whose getting the NNPP guber nomination had sparked political momentum , has begun to take necessary steps to show his readiness for election campaign and make it clear that he means business.
Professor Oba, who had at different times served as Vice –Chancellor of University of Ilorin, and Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, FCC, had been busy visiting thought leaders, traditional rulers and other stakeholders in the state.
Members of his campaign team have also continued to ‘market’ his candidacy. He is however not a new face when it comes to Kwara politics being one of the popular guber aspirants ahead of the 2011 gubernatorial election.
The NNPP guber candidate has visited the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi at his palace in Offa.
It will be recalled that the NNPP presidential candidate, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso also visited the state a few days ago.
Kwankwaso, a one-time governor of Kano state, was accorded a friendly reception right from his arrival at the Ilorin International Airport and he spent the night with party members in the state
