Popular veteran actor and director, Prince Jide Kosoko has joined other Nigerians in congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his victory on Thursday at the Supreme Court.
He also commended the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu for her initiative in bringing together various security agencies, women and children from all over the country in a seminar in Abuja to discus various initiatives and measures being taken for the good of their officials and the country in general.
Kosoko, a strong ally of President Tinubu, in a statement on Friday, said with the final pronouncement by the Supreme Court, which is the final arbiter in the country, the President can now focus on his Renewed Hope Agenda and work without distraction to take the country out of the woods.
He said: I have always had faith in the ability of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the sanctity of the mandate Nigerians freely gave him as their leader and was never in doubt that he would be eventually vindicated.
“The judgment of the Supreme Court on Thursday has only shown that it is futile to fight who God has ordained and favoured. The Tinubu project is a divine project that has received the stamp of authority by the highest court in the land. What remains is for every Nigerian to join hands together with President Tinubu so the nation can move forward and the Renewed Hope Agenda actualized.”
Kosoko also called on the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and that of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and indeed all opposition politicians to accept the verdict of the Supreme Court as the will of God in the spirit of sportsmanship and as patriotic citizens.
“I call on His Excellencies, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to see the verdict of the Supreme Court as the verdict of God, accept it in the spirit of sportsmanship and as great patriotic Nigerians, who are only out for the good of the country.
“Since their motive for aspiring to lead Nigeria is for the good of the country, the time has come to forget every election brickbats and acrimonies for the sake of our fatherland. It’s time to join hands with Mr President to work for the good of the people.
“I also call on every opposition politician and indeed every Nigerian to see the Tinubu project as God’s project designed for the good of the country. Nigeria shall no doubt excell again!”
Speaking on the seminar organised by the office of the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, Kosoko said the First Lady has always been a woman of great initiatives that speaks volume of her patriotic nature and creative initiatives.
“The seminar, which I was fortunately a part of, was an eye opener on the activities of security agencies in the country and measures they are taking, not just to secure us but also advance their operatives in every aspect.
“There is no doubt that Mrs Tinubu is full of great initiatives that will better the lot of Nigerians, especially the womenfolk and children going by the quality of robust discussions at the seminar. This is highly commendable”, Kosoko said.
