Hajia Hansatu Zannah, wife of former Deputy Governor of Borno State, late Zannah Umar Mustapha has felicitated with the entire Muslims for observing the fasting period in compliance with the ethics stipulated in the Holy Quran.

In a Ramadan message she personally released, the Pankshin born businesswoman and a trained communication expert saluted Muslims for their ardent prayers which has played an integral role in bolstering peaceful co-existence amongst Nigerians.

“Islam is a religion of peace, the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) enjoins all muslim faithfuls to remain tolerant and live peacefully with people from other faith”.

She noted that Ramadan is characterised by abstention from food and drinks from dawn to dusk, adding that both the rich and poor share the experience of hunger, thereby strengthening the bonds between haves and have-nots.

“As we continue in these 30 days fasting season, let us not forget that Ramadan is not only about abstention from eating and drinking, but it is a reminder to refrain from all kinds of evil and transgressions that harm humanity.”

“While we are observing this important occasion in the spiritual life of Muslims, let us share food and drinks with the less fortunate, because by sharing our blessings with others, Allah will multiply our rewards for good deeds.”

Hajia Zannah also urged them to sustain the noble ways that had endeared them to Almighty God.

Consequently, she extended her joyful appreciation to Muslim clerics who charitably and meritoriously guided the good people of the Islamic faith in the thirty days period of spiritual exercise which is noble and acceptable before Almighty Allah.
