Former Staff Inciting Investors Against Mohaz Group -alleges chairman
The founder and Chief Executive of Mohaz Oil and Gas, Eng Abdulkadir Ojo on Wednesday has said that his former staff are inciting investors against him which has led to several petitions filed to different law enforcement agencies in the country.
Speaking against the backdrop of the recent freezing of all his accounts, his family members and personal accounts of directors of the company, Abdulkadir regretted the treachery and betrayal of his former staff whom he accused of being ungrateful.
According to him, all his marketing staff were entitled to, and recieved 5 to 10 percent commission on every account and investment they brought to the company and all the investors got their Returns on Investment (ROI) until the last month before the company’s account were frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The statement reads in parts: ” It is quite unfortunate that the company has found itself in this strait but however distressed we may appear to be, we have made efforts to start paying through our law firm who have been mediating between us and the investors.
“The recent freezing of all.our accounts have further limited our genuine efforts in trying to settle everyone aimed at moves that would help the company to bounce back.
“We have been dragged to different law enforcement agencies like the Department of State Securities (DSS), Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID Alagbon), and the EFCC and many others.
“All efforts to pacify the investors are being made.more difficult by my former workers who enjoyed many financial privileges while the company was afloat and I am using this opportunity again to plead with the investors to be patient rather than resort to maligning my reputation or dragging me using social media spaces.
”I had to travel out of the country because I and my family were recieving different death threats from anonymous people who could.not disclose their identities. I am however assuring the investors to please show understanding and liase with the lawyer who would ensure that this matter is brought to a logical conclusion.”
