There is no doubt that every sector of economy worldwide as a story to tell over the effect of Corona virus pandemic, most especially entertainment industry.

Revealing exclusively how the pandemic affect entertainment industry in Nigeria, the Lagos State governor of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, Chief Kareem Olomide Osoba said, Corona virus pandemic created untold hardship on artistes and stakeholders in the entertainment industry. “It was indeed a battle of survival for us. We can perform as we used to do, which is our only means of livelihood ”

The secondary effect of the pandemic is even more worst than imagine, as those major players in the industry like musical instruments engineers, vendors that relate to the industry, event centers, among others are still counting losses over the pandemic

“We are the engine room of the economy, our activities and support during this pandemic cannot be overemphasized. See the numbers of awareness campaign jingles created by artistes on the pandemic without collecting a dime. Government should and as a matter of urgency support entertainment industry in whatever means so as to safe us from becoming beggars in our own country ”

Does he intend to sponsor artiste again this year in production and promotion of music as a yearly custom by him during his birthday?

” Nothing can stop me from doing that. We are going to sponsor at least two artistes this year by producing an album for them and promote the works. We are going to announce those artistes to the public on Tuesday “,he declared
