A middle aged housewife identified as Awele (surname withheld) bid to uncover her husband’s alleged extra marital affairs in Asaba, Delta State,
last week Friday backfired when she was caught with a man in a hotel room.
It was gathered that the housewife had been married for over 25 years with
two of her children graduates of enviable disciplines. But sources said
her husband, a top businessman who is based in Asaba had been severally accused of being randy and reckless with women, the act that we heard unsettles the housewife more often.
A family member who did not want her name in print confided in our reporter that, “by all standards, she lives in comfort with her husband and children in the G.R.A in Asaba. But in spite of all the comforts, the woman
has one big challenge in her marriage, her husband is a chronic womanizer and she has been living with the challenge for years and all appeals to make him stop the act by the wife proved abortive.”
At a stage, said the source, it became a war in the house as the woman turned it into a big fight that neighbours would wade in and settle them.
however, perhaps due to wrong counsel from friends, the woman resolve to take her pounds of flesh on her husband by starting to date with a married man.
On a Devil’s day, said the source, she went with her lover in his car to a hotel in Agbor. That was her first but it wasn’t a lucky day indeed. A friend of her husband reportedly spotted her as she strolled into the hotel with her man and, immediately, we gathered, he put a call across to the husband who in less than one hour raced to the hotel. Together with his
friends, they reportedly laid ambush for the lovers in a pub directly opposite the hotel.
As they came out and the lover was driving out of the hotel premises, the woman’s husband allegedly blocked their car with his own car, dragged his wife out and gave her the thrashing of her life.
While the husband was dealing with the woman, the lover reportedly escaped from the scene.
