It is a weeklong celebration season in Ijebuland, as the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebuland, HRM Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona marked his 64th coronation anniversary and 90th birthday party.
All sons and daughters of Ijebuland are not left out in the celebration mood.
A United States based Naval Officer and registered Nurse, Chief (Mrs) Ayoola Fehintola-Brat has felicitated with Awujale on his 64th coronation anniversary and his 90th birthday celebration.
In her congratulatory message to the Royal father also made available to newsmen, Fehintola-Brat who doubles as the Balogun Egbe Obaneye Obinrin Akile-Ijebu described the monarch as a living legend, whose acts, thoughts and aspiration have continued to lift Ijebuland and its people.
According to her, the Awujale who is now widely regarded as the architect of modern Ijebu has consistently placed Ijebuland and its people in a class of its own over the 64 years he has reigned.
However, in commemoration of the double celebration, Fehintola-Brat has distributed over 5000 branded exercise books to some of the primary schools in Ijebuland.
“Yes, my little contribution today is not only to celebrate our father, but to also give back to my immediate community from the little one God has blessed me with’.
She beseeched Almighty God to continue to give Awujale the wisdom, good health and strength to administer the affairs of Ijebuland.
