Arise Walk For Life: Siju Iluyomade Leads Prominent Nigerians on Health Awareness Walk

The excitement is already on even as expectation for this year’s Arise Women Walk For Life is set to hold Saturday 14th October 2023 in Clusters across Nigeria, parts of Africa as well as around the world.

According to information made available by the Convener, Arise Women, Dr Siju Iluyomade recently, this year’s edition is planned to be very memorial to celebrate the 15th edition. The 2023 Arise Women celebration as usual is divided into four different activities, the Arise Walk For Life, Golf Tournament, Arise Football Academy and the flagship, Arise Women Conference.

While Dr Siju will lead her own Cluster move from Bourdilon area in Ikoyi Lagos, all the other Arise Walk Clusters from different parts of Lagos, Abuja, Bauchi, Imo, Abeokuta, Kenya,South Africa, Australia, US UK, Italy and so many other areas are expected to move simultaneously from their Clusters dorning the specially designed official 15th edition T-Shirts.

The Walk according to Dr Siju, is to raise our consciousness to many benefits of walking regularly to prevent many diseases like High blood pressure and diabetes which are some of the major causes of untimely deaths in this part of the world.

Expected at the Walk are many sports legends in Nigeria including Peter Rufai, Kanu Nwankwo, Dosu Joseph, Waidi Akanni and many others. Also, some of wife of Governors are also expected to form their own Clusters and Walk, while some will also join the Convener. A sum of 15,000 dollars will be given to the best Cluster according to the organizers.

Meanwhile, The Arise Golf Tournament holds at the prestigious Ikoyi Club on Friday 20th of October while Arise Football novelty match takes place the following day at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.

The Arise Women Conference which will witness thousands of individuals across the Country will be held at the Trinity Towers and four other event centres simultaneously along COD road, Dideolu Estate,Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the organizers, no fewer than 5000 participants, less privileged, will get the Arise Food Basket. Also, farmers will be encouraged with fertilisere seedlings as a form of empowerment.
