2023: Ogun East Deserves Better – Group Drags Gbenga Daniel Into Senatorial Race

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, some former and serving aides and friends of former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel have called on the former governor to contest for the senatorial seat of the Ogun East senatorial district in the interest of the development of the area.

Inside sources revealed that the group is ready to champion the cause of the campaign by using their personal resources ahead of the elections.

It was further revealed that Otunba Gbenga  Daniel at the National Assembly would complement Governor Dapo Abiodun’s achievements.

The source who claimed that by first week in the month of March, activities to actualize Gbenga Daniel’s mandate would start rolling in order to create more awareness across the senatorial district.

“In Ogun East Senatorial district, what we have been lacking is qualitative representation at the National Assembly, we  need more quality leaders who have proved their mettle in their previous public assignments to aspire for strategic public offices, where they could collaborate with Governor Abiodun with a view to moving the state to greater heights,” he said.

According to another source, Otunba Daniel was outstanding during his administration. He possesses the laudable vision and inherent leadership capacity to translate ideas to reality, noting that this is the time Ogun East senatorial district needs to consolidate on the framework of his laudable vision and create a synergy between Governor Abiodun’s transformation,  especially in the area of digital development of the state.

The group was of the opinion that Ogun East people deserve better and in need of brilliant, charismatic and politically matured persons such as Daniel, who would bring their wealth of experience in the private sector as well as their political network to bear in their legislative stewardship to the nation.
