Often times in the creative industry, it is commonplace to find creatives drawing inspiration for their artistic endeavours from the works of others. It appears a Ghanaian musical act strongly has reservations for this as he recently called out video directors in his country.

Talented act Shatta Wale took to popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, with a post in which he strongly berated video directors in the Ghana music industry. The music act frowned at how many of them had resorted to copying the creative efforts of their Nigerian counterparts.

Wale charged them to get more creative and explore the rich story abound in their country when rendering visual interpretations to songs. Concluding his post, he added that Ghanaians were too lazy in creating.

Sharing the post, he said: “Ghana music video directors should stop copying naija videos and be creative because Nigerians are far gone, so let’s try and portray our culture small. …it’s about being creative. …we are too lazy in creating …Let’s be serious aaahhh ba !!!”
