“You Don’t Need Lambo, Let’s Buy Guinea For You”

-Portable Slams Sophia Egbueje

Portable, Sophia and Burna Boy

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, known as Portable has weighed in on the ongoing drama involving Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje.

On Thursday, audio recordings surfaced online featuring Sophia Egbueje lamenting that Burna Boy had failed to fulfil a promise he made to her.

In the viral clips, Sophia recounted how she met Burna Boy and how he persistently pursued an intimate relationship with her. She claimed that after much persuasion, she eventually gave in and in return, Burna Boy promised to gift her a Lamborghini worth around N500 million. However, after their encounter, he allegedly failed to keep his word.

The controversy has since sparked widespread reactions on social media with fans and industry figures weighing in on the situation.

Joining the debate, Portable took to his Instagram page on Friday where he criticised Sophia for her demands. The singer claimed that since her father never bought a car for her mother, she resorted to using her body in an attempt to get a Lamborghini.

Portable further condemned Sophia’s actions, describing them as highly inappropriate.

Sharing his thoughts on what he believed she truly needed, the singer suggested that she should get a Guinea (traditional cloth) instead. He even offered to buy one for her so she could take it to her tailor for sewing.

The Zazu crooner also questioned whether Sophia even knew the true cost of a Lamborghini. He jokingly offered to buy one for her but added that she would likely “japa” (run away) with it.

He partly said, “My fans it’s very wrong now, inside your story your father didn’t buy for your mother, you are now grown ehn ehn you want to use pant collect Lamborghini, you want to use intimacy to collect Lamborghini and he quickly gave you Lamba.

“You don’t need Lambo, let’s buy Guinea for you and call tailor to sew it for you because it’s cloth that covers the secret of the body, Lamborghini money can be used to build three houses, so you want it to be given to one person.”

‘Even If DNA Confirms He’s My Grandson, I’ll Sue Wunmi For Taking Liam To Club’

– Joseph Aloba

Joseph Aloba, the father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad has revealed why he would still take legal action against his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, even if a DNA test confirms Liam as his grandson.

He disclosed this during a recent interview shared on Instagram on Thursday.

According to him, he still has no knowledge of how his son, Mohbad died, even though it has been nearly two years since his passing.

He stated that he is uncertain whether the child his son left behind is truly his.

Mohbad’s father said that even if a DNA test confirms the child as his grandson, he would still take legal action against Wunmi.

He explained that he would sue her for taking a five-month-old baby to a club where heavy smoking was taking place.

Translating his words from Yoruba to English, he said, “I knew nothing about Mohbad’s death. When my son passed, Wunmi was the first person I asked questions because she’s his wife. Even if DNA proves that Liam is my grandson, I will sue her because how can they be taking a 5-month old boy to shows where there are lots of weed smokers. Recently, I saw that they took him to Ibadan. I knew there was a nurse but I didn’t see her. DNA is very important. My major concern now is what killed Mohbad and if the child he left behind is my grandson, you won’t see me asking about properties. Help me beg the government because I’m tired, I don’t know what else to do. For two years now, someone that died in the house, even if it’s the nurse, at least there’s camera inside and outside the house. What about forensic? Please help me, I don’t know what to do anymore…”

Lies Will Fade, Time Will Reveal Everything’

-Naira Marley Breaks Silence On Mohbad’s Death

Naira Marley and Mohbad

Nigerian singer Naira Marley has issued a statement regarding the death of his former signee, Mohbad.

In a post shared on X Wednesday evening, Marley accused individuals who were present at Mohbad’s death of betraying him.

The CEO of Marlian Music claimed that he had reconciled with Mohbad prior to his death, stating that they had come to an understanding that went beyond their previous disagreements.

However, he expressed his disbelief that he was blamed following Mohbad’s death, leaving him to face public criticism and scrutiny.

While not naming specific people, the singer alleged that certain individuals allowed the public to “call me a killer while you sat there, knowing the truth”.

“I never thought silence could be so loud. I never thought someone I called my brother, someone I protected would leave this world with my name in his shadow. I have carried this weight, this pain, this shame that was never mine to bear,” it reads.

“We, as Marlians were not perfect. We had to grow, we had to adapt. Mistakes were made but they were business-never war. I made peace with Mohbad. We understood each other beyond the noise, beyond the misunderstandings. And you know this.

“Yet when he took his last breath, you looked at the world and pointed at me. You let them tear me apart. You let them call me a killer while you sat there, knowing the truth. Now you tell the story?

“I welcomed you all into my home. I gave you my trust. And yet, my brother is gone, still not buried, and that is your fault. Telling the truth from the beginning would have given him the rest he deserves. Regardless, I will always be there for him.

“You never thought I would survive. You never thought I would walk through the fire and face my people, maybe you hoped I would stay a fugitive. You thought I would run. Instead, I stood before the justice system, spent time in jail and faced everything head-on while you changed the story, again and again.

“But God sees all. The truth does not shake. The lies will fade and time will reveal everything.

I have been broken but I am not destroyed. And when the truth finally speaks, I pray your heart is strong enough to bear it.”

On Tuesday, a magistrate court in Yaba dropped charges against Naira Marley, Sammy Larry and Prime Boy concerning their alleged involvement in the death of Mohbad.

Nevertheless, the Lagos DPP revealed plans to prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who attended to Mohbad and Ayobami Sadiq, a close friend of the singer for their alleged reckless and negligent actions.
