Terry Apala: Youths Started Listening to Apala Music Because of Me

Popular Nigerian musician, Terry Apala, has disclosed that he is doing his best to preserve the Apala music genre and lead it evolution.

The singer said he has always loved Apala music right from his childhood, and though he is not from the south west where the genre originated, his background in the Mushin area of Lagos inspired him to embrace the genre.

Terry Apala also revealed that so many young music lovers informed him that it is because of him they listen to Apala music.

According to him, music is one of the best ways to spread the Nigerian culture across the world and that is what he’s aiming for as it is important to propagate what is ours’.

His words:

“I have always been of the firm belief that music is universal, and it does not have any borders or barriers. I fell in love with apala music from an early age, and I have been trying my best to contribute to its evolution.

“As a matter of fact, many young people have told me that it’s because of me they listen to and like apala music. However, I still have a lot in stock. I believe that music is one of the best ways that we can spread our culture across the world.

“The world is a global village, but it is important to propagate what is ours. I believe that my impact and contributions will be better appreciated in years to come.”
