Prophet Ezekiah

The Supreme Council of Christ Apostolic Church has named Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji as the new General Evangelist of the church. This is coming after the retirement of Prophet Samuel Abiara who recently attained the age of 75.

Oladeji was an evangelist at CAC Canaanland until his appointment by the Supreme Council, the church’s highest governing body, which comprises of all principal officers, Assistant General Superintendents and other senior officers.

Before his appointment, Hezekiah who is vicually impaired is described as a philanthropist, who has affected the lives of many positively and added values to their lives. A source hinted this magazine on how spirit-filled man of God affected a lady’s life during a church programme. He said‘’ Prophet Ezekiah was invited for a church programme; after his ministration, he announced an altar call, and a lady came out with the last N100 in her purse.

Having discovered spiritually that the lady came out with the last money on her spiritually, Ezekiah inquired about the lady’s profession and she said she is a fashion designer’s apprentice.

Prophet Ezekiah said his aides should buy sewing machines and rent a shop for her to start her business when she graduates.

Sources in the church told our correspondent that there are usually three candidates for the position, from which the Supreme Council would choose one, “based on the leading of the Holy Spirit.”

Meanwhile, in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Friday night, Abiara, who heads the Agbala Itura Worldwide said he was grateful to God for a successful tenure.

He said: “I’m very happy and I thank God for His grace. In the rules of the church, when you clock 75, you retire, and that was what happened. I was even one of those who announced him as the new General Superintendent. So, I’m happy.”

When our correspondent called the church’s Director of Publicity, Pastor Ademisoye Alawode, he said he could not comment on the story as he would need clarification on the issue.

“We will release a statement when we have clarification,” he added.
