Renowned American talk show host, Steve Harvey has revealed that Nigerian Grammy winner, Burna Boy did not steal from their music genre, saying they stole from him instead.
He stated that contrary to such belief, it was the West, especially America who are inspired by African beats, rhythm, and soul which are done by Burna Boy and other African artistes.
Harvey made the revelation when he appeared as a panelist on a TV programme while emphasising that Africans and Black American are the same.
In his words;
“They talk about ‘Burna Boy stole this’, no we stole from Burna Boy. Africans are the beats, soul, rhythm and hard work. We get our courage from them. When you see them people, they look just like your family.”
