The Nativeland concert at SoL Beach in the Elegushi area of Lagos took a dramatic turn on Saturday, December 21, when the stage collapsed during the performance of Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck.
The incident occurred as Odumodublvck and his crew delivered an energetic performance.
Videos shared by eyewitnesses on social media captured the moment the stage gave way, causing attendees and crew members to flee for safety.
A video shared on Sunday showed the incident, accompanied by the caption, “WHOA!!! The stage collapsed during Odumodublvck’s performance at Nativeland! Praying everyone is safe and unharmed!!!”
Similarly, AlbumTalks shared another clip, writing, “The stage appears to have collapsed during ODUMODUBLVCK’s performance at Nativeland. Hope everyone is fine .”
While the extent of injuries remains uncertain, many expressed concern for the well-being of the artist and others involved, with prayers shared online.
The concert featured performances from Bloody Civilian, Ayanfe, DJ Tunez, Zerrydl, ThisizLondon, and others, with a surprise appearance by Wizkid.
However, the organizers have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident as at the time of filing this report.
