Senator Iyiola Omisore Adds A Year

It was clink of glasses among the supporters of the Apesin Oodua, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Friday 15th, September as the senator turned 60.  Omisore ventured into politics during the aborted fourth republic of General Sani Abacha’s administration.  He emerged the deputy governor during the tenure of Chief Bisi Akande and also got elected as the representative of the Osun East in the Senate in 2003, Omisore contested as the PDP candidate in the 2014 guber elections in Osun State but lost to the incumbent governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. The Ile-Ife born chief is currently one of the state PDP leaders and a guber aspirant.
