Senate Confirms Former Speaker Adejare Bello’s Nomination As Ambassador

Hon Adejare Rafiu Bello enjoys a special and a rare status in the Osun state political circle. The legal practitioner turned politician who holds the title of Oluomo of Ede land, was a member of the Osun state House of Assembly from 1999 to 2011.

As a member of the defunct APP ,he served as the Minority Leader until 2003 when he became the Speaker, a position he retained for eight consecutive.

Bello who is currently a chieftain of APC in Osun state was nominated as ambassador by President Muhammadu Buhari a few days ago has secured positive nod from the senate.

He was at the senate for screening last week Wednesday and he  was simply asked to take a bow and leave.
