Osun State born politican and former Nigerian House of Representatives member, Hon. Rotimi Makinde, is investing big once more in Nollywood.
Makinde was into acting before venturing into politics a few years ago.
A reliable source told this magazine that Makinde, who is planning a return to active public service, is meanwhile in talks with a notable movie promoter, marketer and actor, Mayor Gbenga Adewusi, for a mega movie project that will gulp several millions of naira.
The source said that both Makinde and Mayor Adewusi who is fondly addressed as ‘Baba Itunu’ by his admirers are the main sponsors of the movie titled, ‘The Last Bachelor’.
‘The Last Bachelor’, we learnt, will be an expose on moral and emotional decay in our society and why death is rampant in Nollywood.
The source said that the project will confirm Makinde as not just a seasoned actor but also a philosophical script writer, a quality for which he is known and admired.
