Rep Sanya Omirin Empowers 100 Constituents

Hon Sanya Emmanuel Omirin, who represents Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has once again, taken steps to impact the lives of his constituents .The federal lawmaker has been commended for supporting members of his constituency who are tailors, through the provision of sewing machines.

The beneficiaries, who he had sponsored for a 12-month tailoring training programme, also received N50,000 each as startup capital during an empowerment programme that was held penultimate Friday.

A former member of the House of Representatives, who is currently serving as Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Special Adviser, Hon. Emiola Fakeye,  thanked Rep Sanya Omirin for his gesture of goodwill while urging the beneficiaries to put their experience, the sewing machines and the ‘startup capital’ to good use in order to better their lives and their respective communities. In their separate speeches, Atakumosa East Local Government PDP chairmanship candidate, Hon. Alade Ibironke Dangote, Ilesa East Local Government PDP chairmanship candidate, Hon. Taiwo Ilesanmi, Atakunmosa West Local Government PDP chairmanship candidate,  Hon. Ajibola Dada  submitted that it was not surprising that Rep Sanya Omirin has  considered it important to impact the lives of his constituents cognizant that he has over the years attached importance to giving back to his community and society.They noted that he had demonstrated this while at different times serving as Local Government Secretary, local government Chairman and Federal Commissioner. Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission. PDP chairman,  Ilesa West Local Government, Hon. Mudasiru Olamilekan Lawal  urged  the beneficiaries  to continue to pray for  Omirin noting that he has continued to do what was never seen in the history of Ijesa South politics. Hon. Adewumi Adediran and Hon. Funsho Ogedengbe ,who are the  immediate past caretaker Chairmen of  Atakumosa East local government and  Ilesa North East LCDA respectively, urged the beneficiaries to use what they have gotten for the intended purpose so as to encourage the federal lawmaker to bring more dividends of democracy to his constituency.

President of the Federation of Tailors in Ijesa South Federal Constituency,  Mr. Femi Ojo, not only commended the federal lawmaker for sponsoring members of the association for training and making provision for sewing machines and startup capital,  but also urged other politicians in the country to emulate Rep Omirin. ‘If other politicians can  encourage  and support artisans through the provision of working  tools like Hon Sanya Omirin has done, many people especially the young people will be motivated to enroll for apprenticeship trainings’ he said. Some among the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Hon Omirin, and prayed for his continued success.
