The story making the rounds that Ladi, the son of billionaire lotto magnate, Chief Kessington Adebutu, is very serious with his dream to occupy the Ogun State governorship seat after the tenure of the incumbent Governor Ibikunle Amosun, was further boosted two weeks ago in Lagos.

Venue was the Oriental Hotel, Lekki where the grand finale of former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel’s 60th birthday bash held.

At the event, sources told this magazine that the beefy grassroots politician who currently represents Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives was the focus of many.

We were informed that Ladi was spotted in the company of a former lawmaker in the State, Hon. Sikirullahi Ogundele, moving from one seat to the other exchanging pleasantries with politics and corporate giants that attended the birthday party while they hailed and hugged him, suggesting he is loved and more popular that his rivals in the game of Ogun East politics.

One other giant of politics from Adebutu’s territory that honoured Otunba Daniel at the event is Senator Buruji Kashamu.

But eyewitnesses told us that Ladi popularly referred as ‘Lado’ stole the show at the event.

The lotto magnate’s son is said to be an ally of the birthday boy, Otunba Daniel, a silent power broker in Ogun politics right now, and this is one point that analysts say could make Ladi the blessed among other contenders for 2019 governorship race, including his family’s money chest that is massive enough to oil his campaign.
