Renovation work on Adewole Cottage Hospital, Ilorin, has begun and this is part of efforts aimed at strengthening the primary health care facilities in the State of Harmony, the state  Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-lmam has submitted.

The commissioner said   Adewole Cottage Hospital is one of the healthcare centres that were approved for renovation by the Kwara  State Government,  adding that  construction work is ongoing there with slight service disruptions while urging patience and understanding.

‘One of the disruptions is that we are unable to admit male patients at this time because the ongoing works include roof removal at the male section of the hospital’, the statement said.

The Health Commissioner, however, urged the general public to patronize the hospital, assuring them of quality health care delivery service from the health care workers while  adding  that ‘renovation work’ is also being carried out at some other secondary health  facilities in  the state simultaneously.

‘ Renovation work on General Hospital , Patigi is 95% completed, while we have completed the extensive work on the General Hospital, Oro. Cottage Hospital Lade is also 100% completed. Patigi and Lade were also given solar inverters for 24-hour power supply.
