The ongoing accusation and counter accusation of rape scandal levelled against Mustapha, a son of the late ex- Kogi Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, is taking a fresh dimension.
Mustapha Audu had been accused of rape by his US based blogger girlfriend, Lotanna Igwe-Odunze best known as Sugabelly.
However, the new angle to the matter that went viral on the social media is the threat by those who called themselves friends of Sugabelly to release to the public the nude photographs including video clips of them having sex.
According to a source, Sugabelly’s ‘friends’ were pissed ‘how Muhammed Audu had molested ladies sexually at different times.
Sugabelly, who was 17 years old at the time she alleged was dating Mustapha, gave account on how Audu in conjunction with his two brothers sexually molested her.
However, a statement released by Mustapha Audu’s media aide, Philip Obin, recently, said, that Audu was disturbed about the allegations at this time when he was trying to “align with the reality of the death of his beloved father.”
The allegations, according to the statement, are “baseless and totally untrue.” He said a further response from Mustapha should be expected.
Meanwhile, anonymous Twitter users currently hiding their identities, have risen in defence of the alleged rape victim, Sugabelly, promising to release a video evidence anytime soon.
According to them, “We have been following the drama of what can perhaps be described as the biggest rape scandal of the decade, between US based blogger @sugabelly, whose real name is Lotanna Odunze-Igwe, and Mustapha Audu, son of the recently deceased ex-governor of Kogi State, Abubakar Audu.
However, former Nigerian minister, Oby Ezekwesili has thrown her support behind Sugabelly. Besides, as the drama continues with accusations of rape, physical and mental torture, and counter-accusations of obsession and blackmail from both parties, an eye witness has come out to corroborate some of Sugabelly’s version of the events.
The twitter user with the username @urshitisout in a series of tweets accused Mustapha Audu and his friend Emma as being serial rapists and ruthless woman beaters. The user also claims to be in possession of videos of the duo molesting different ladies, not Sugabelly this time.
Though it would be unjust for one to jump into conclusion on this matter since the case is already in court but the certainty is that Sugabelly has been warming Audu’s bed and enjoying him since she was 17 years old before the issue of rape arose.
