Those into the business of sales of ram are busy lamenting low patronage. Global Excellence’s findings revealed that it was same story in Osun and Kwara states. While rams were a common sight in almost all the nooks and crannies of Ilorin, the marketers lamented low patronage. We, however, gathered that one of the factors responsible for the low patronage was the high cost and the intimidating price of ram which makes it challenging for the people to afford it. We further learned that those who usually transport rams from the northern part of the country and help in breaking monopoly and consequently secure reduction in prices failed to show up this year. The market is thus left for those who sought for theirs from the neighbouring states and there was no competition.
