Top politicians in Kwara State, family friends, Islamic clerics and well-wishers on Friday, September 6, 2024, gathered in honour of a community leader, late Alhaji Abubakar Adebisi Adebiyi in Offa, Kwara State.
Alhaji Abubakar Adebisi Adebiyi died three decades ago and top dignitaries attended the prayer service held to mark his 30th death anniversary in Offa on Friday. Attendees of the event include the current patriarch of the family, Pa Rasak Adebiyi, the Kure of Offa , Chief Kayode Adebiyi; the Olukotun of Ikotun, HRM, Oba Adio Amuda Ajadi; iconic labour leader and Basorun of Offa, Alhaji Najeem Yasin; former Kwara State Commissioner for Information, who is also the Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom, Chief Raheem Adedoyin; prominent Lawyers, Mr. Rabana Lawal, SAN and Mr. Wahab Shitu, SAN; the Aremo of Offa, Chief Sola Olagunju; Aare Bobaselu of Offa, Chief Kunle Jeigbe; Taiyese of Offa, Dr. Lanre Abdul Folorunso; Dr. Lai Bello, CEO, Sunbo Hospital, Miran, Lagos and former Majority Leader of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Hassan Oyeleke.
Also in attendance were a member of Kwara State House of Assembly from Offa, Hon. David Ogunniyi Oluwaseun aka Adato; former commissioner for Environment, who is also the Akinrogun of Offa, Barrister Segun Olawoyin, former General Manager of Radio Kwara, Alhaji Adebowale Adedeji; Offa Local Government APC Chairmanship candidate, Alhaji Olatunji Sulaiman aka Omituntun); Oyun Local Government APC Youth Leader, Hon.
