The Abia State Police Command yesterday denied invading the country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of  Biafra,  Nnamdi Kanu, in Isiama Afra-Ukwu Ibeku in Umaahia.

The IPOB in a statement Sunday had claimed that a combined team of security operatives invaded Kanu’s home the previous night.

But the command’s spokesperson, SP  Geoffrey Ogbonna, said Kanu’s home was never besieged by security agents, adding that doing so was not only  waste of time but energy.

“Why would security agents besiege Kanu’s home? Kanu, I’m sure is not around and his Afara Ukwu home, I’m sure for now is safe.

“You know these days, people spread rumours anyhow,” Ogbonna said.
