Police officers who carried out unlawful arrest at the Geri Alimi underpass , Ilorin have been arrested and kept behind bars.
They were shown in a viral video taken while carrying out the unlawful arrest.
Kwara state PPRO, Ajayi Okasanmi said penultimate Thursday that the erring officers have been arrested and detained.
He also asked the victims to show up at the police headquarters in order that they can provide needed evidence to nail the arrested officers.
‘Good evening all, the police officers captured harassing two young men in a viral video around Geri Alimi, Ilorin have been arrested, detained and are currently undergoing departmental trial.
The victims of this despicable act are encouraged to come to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Police headquarters, Ilorin to give evidence to enable a diligent trial.
