Earlier, it was reported that a 300-level student of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, (FUTA) accompanied by a group of female students assaulted a 100-level scholar identified as Bolu.
In a recent development, Police have reportedly apprehended the culprits involved in the assault.
It was reported earlier that the 100 Level Ecotourism and Wildlife Management student identified as Bolu had an issue with one of those that assaulted her.
As seen in the video, the female students demanded the young lad knelt down before assaulting her for refusing to.
According to recent reports, the culprits who were involved in the assault have been arrested.
Further, they will also be facing the University’s panel by 9 a.m today November 17, where they might be expelled over the sad act which was captured in a viral video.
The male student spotted leading the fight in the video has been identified as Obalola, a 300 Level student of Industrial Design.
One of the female assaulters has been identified as Oluwadare Faith, a 200 Level student of Food Science Technology. The other FUTA student involved in the assault has been identified as Bimpe, her department and level are yet to be revealed.

The assault continued when the other ladies began to use a cable to flog the young lady. This singular act would instigate outrage on social media.
