Osun Schools Tell Students: "No Face Mask No Attendance"

Authorities of Salvation Army Grammar School and Osogbo Grammar School both within Osogbo metropolis turned back students who turned out without their face masks on Monday.

Public and private schools in Osun State resumed for academic activities on Monday amid the second wave of COVID-19.

 

It was observed on Monday the partial compliance with COVID-19 protocols outlined by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.

 

At Salvation Army Grammar School and Osogbo Grammar School, the students were met at the gate as officials insisted on them wearing their nose covers.

 

Although the teachers met enforcing the directive on face masks refused to comment on the development, two of the affected students at Osogbo Grammar School, said they could not afford to buy the items as they were only given money for their midday meal.

 

No thermometer was also in use at the two schools.
