His Royal Majesty the Onipokia of Ipokia kingdom, Oba Yisa Olaniyan, has been honoured with the Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa (D. Arts), in Public Leadership, Peace and Community Development by the European-American University, in a letter dated 21st June, 2021.
The honour conferred on him, according to the university authorities, is in recognition of the monarch’s developmental strides as a foremost traditional ruler, within and outside his domain.
In his letter of acceptance signed by his media director, Tunde Abioro, HRM Oba Olaniyan expressed his joy, pleasure and enthusiasm in accepting the honour.
T”special conferment of the honorary degree given to Kabiyesi is no doubt again a call to duty and more responsibilities and he is glad to function in that capacity and more.
Onipokia appreciates the recognition and the confidence reposed in him and sincerely looks forward to a lasting and worthwhile communal and developmental initiatives as well as partnerships with the Institution,” the statement reads.
