The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul Rasheed Akanbi is a prominent traditional ruler in the country and he is one of the Nigerians in the Diaspora that returned home to get enthroned as monarch.

The Oluwo and a prominent son of the soil, Chief Abiola Ogundokun had been involved in battle for more than a month now leading to the withdrawal of the Ogundokun’s chieftaincy two titles.

Last week, dare devil robbers struck in the city, attacked three commercial banks, killed three policemen and carted away huge sums of money.

The Oba was readily castigated in the social media for what was not in any way connected to him.

He is merely the custodian of culture and heritages of the town and not the chief security officer as the local government chairman stands as the chief security officer.

Following the castigations launched against his person, the Oluwo had to issue a statement announcing monetary reward for volunteers of information that could lead to the arrest of the chaps that carried out the dastardly act.
