The son of the former governor of Oyo State, Hon. Olamiju Akala has stepped into his father’s shoes in politics. He has been re-elected as the Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government.
Olamiju who is popularly known as Omo-Oloore is a philanthropist like his father. He has continuously wiped the tears of his people in the local government. Also, he had wanted to contest for House of Representatives in 2015 elections but his father directed him to step down in order to start from the grassroots just like his father who later became the governor of the State.
Hon. Olamiju had earlier been nominated as caretaker of Ogbomoso North
Local Government before he was elected as chairman of the council few weeks ago.
