Ogun State PDP woman leader, Abimbola Lanre-Balogun, Pays Tributes to Late Buruji Kashamu

Legal amazon,  Barr. (Mrs.) Abimbola Lanre-Balogun, who was the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party at the past election and currently the Ogun State woman leader of the party in the state, has paid a glowing tribute to the late Senator (Prince)

Barr. Abimbola Lanre-Balogun

Buruji Kashamu, whom she described  lateas her benefactor and political leader.

Prince Kashamu passed on recently in Lagos and his remains buried last weekend.

In her statement, Lanre-Balogun described Senator Kashamu as her worthy boss and inspirational leader.

Her words:

“My Distinguished Senator, mentor, indefatigable warrior, teacher, peacemaker, adviser, fixer and builder. Nobody would ever have believed that you would leave us so soon.

Giving other people a platform to excel is an act that you enjoyed so much. With a consequence that you were repeatedly betrayed by many unworthy benefactors of your goodwill.

You have left behind shoes too big to be filled.  And a vast cloud of emptiness remains hanging over your friends, family and associates and the unprivileged who leaned on you.

That you have taken your final bow when your earthly work was yet to be completed is a painful reality that I find unbearable.

Your endearing generosity and magnanimous demeanour will leave indelible prints in the minds of hundreds of thousands of your ardent followers.

Your word was always your bond. Whenever you gave your word, it was a bankable bond. If you were forced to change for any reason, you would inform and give reasons.

It is an indisputable fact that you came, you saw and you conquered in your short 62 years.

Winning battle after battle after battle until the very end, you outgunned, outfoxed and outwitted your enemies and opponents.  Like the champion that you are, you bowed out of this earth unbeaten and undefeated! For this alone I will remain eternal proud.

Without a doubt, your memory will remain a blessing to the multitudes whose lives you had positively impacted in many different ways.

You will never be forgotten.  Your legacy is assured.

Good night, Buruji Kashamu! Undefeated, my hero, my champion.”

Rest on in your Creator’s arms”.
