As we gathered, the structure was previously marked ‘six metres’ but has now been marked ’18 meters’ which means the multimillion house will have to give way for development.
Insiders told Global Excellence magazine that the actor-turned-politician was particularly bitter over the development because he borrowed close to one hundred million naira from a bank to finance the project. Speaking, Makinde stressed that it was becoming too much a burden to bear having just encountered problems with the same government over another property of his.
“It is sad. Already a lot of people are weeping because I’m not even alone in this. Peole are dying of frustration after their losing their retirement houses in this government’s demoliiton exercise. This building was marked six metres in 2012 and now they have marked it 18 meters. In fact, it is shocking,” laments Makinde who notes that the structure was being used as school since he built it in 2015.
